LGBTQIQ + SPECIFIC CONCERNS

It is an unfortunate truth that the LGBTQIQ+ community suffers from a disproportionately higher rate of mental health issues, discrimination, substance abuse, and other health risks. Specialized therapists must provide an affirmative therapeutic environment and safe space to help empower individuals to navigate these challenges effectively.  Whether struggling with mental health issues, affectional orientation, gender identity, or just needing someone to listen, we provide an affirming environment with therapists well trained in key issues specific to the LGBTQIQ+ population.

As an organization, we continue to educate ourselves on the needs of this population and continue to increase our understanding and awareness through specialized trainings. It is equally important for us to stay updated on the rights, privileges, and laws within our community and around the globe. When possible, we serve as advocates in the community. We continue to strive to be inclusive of other related identities, and we promote treatment that is culturally-inclusive, ethically responsible, and affirming to all aspects of one’s intersectional identity. Our therapists strive to empower and support the LGBTQIQ+ Community in all areas of life and offer LGBTQIQ+  specific support groups to provide an experience of belonging, support, and understanding.
