Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management
PCH provides psychiatric evaluations and medical management for children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. All of our prescribers are board certified and many have subspecialty board certifications. Our pres strongly support integrated medical and behavioral health treatment for many psychiatric conditions.
We value corroborative care with treating therapists and medical providers within our practice and in the community. Our child and adolescent psychiatrists work with teachers, school administrators, parents, and therapists to provide effective treatment. Our adult psychiatrists communicate and gather clinical information from providers, therapists, and treating physicians in the community.
The psychiatric evaluation process often involves gathering collateral information (e.g., medical records and speaking with other providers and family members, if appropriate) and an extensive clinical interview with the patient. Should medications be recommended and prescribed, the patient will have regular follow-up appointments for medication monitoring. The psychiatrists also often refer to therapists for specific therapies needed in conjunction with medication stabilization.
