James Mason Andrews, MD

Dr. Andrews is a board certified psychiatrist and a founding partner of Peachtree Psychiatric Professionals since its beginning in 1996. He provides adult psychiatric evaluation and clinical management for patients struggling with mood and anxiety disorders and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Dr. Andrews also provides practice management and consultation to Peachtree Comprehensive Health staff and clinicians.

Dr. Andrews was born in Oaklawn, Illinois, and he was raised in the Atlanta area. He graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1989. He graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1993 and completed psychiatric residency training in 1997 at Emory, where he was chief resident. Throughout his years in practice, Dr. Andrews has developed a special interest in and completed additional training in the area of psychopharmacology. He has been a guest speaker and lecturer on the topic. 

Dr. Andrews is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association. 

In his spare time, Dr. Andrews spends time with his family, including his dogs. He enjoys exercising and watching all kinds of sports, especially football.
