Taylor Verges
Taylor is a graduate-level intern pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness through New York University. She is excited to work with all age groups to address a variety of clinical concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, and emotion regulation. Taylor values a holistic approach to therapy in order to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel heard and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
Taylor has completed basic training in EMDR and is excited to offer this highly effective treatment to the community at a reduced rate.
Taylor hails from New Orleans, Louisiana, and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University. Her educational journey has ignited a passion for understanding the intricacies of the human cognition and emotional well-being. Her interest in these areas was further fueled by her experience working as an ABA Technician, where she focused on implementing behavior modification plans for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. In this role, Taylor honed her skills tailoring effective treatment plans and seeks to apply the same compassionate, holistic, and individualized approach in counseling.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys exercising, playing with her dog, and learning about new wellness activities.
