Forensic Evaluations
Peachtree Comprehensive Health (PCH) Forensic Group was founded in 2020 in an effort to provide a comprehensive integrated approach to assessment in the fields of forensic psychiatry and forensic psychology. Forensic psychiatry and psychology are subspecialties that study the interface between mental health and the law in both criminal and civil cases. The PCH Forensic Group members work as evaluators and expert witnesses in a variety of cases involving juveniles and adults.
Our practice has extensive experience in criminal cases that require assessment of competency to stand trial, civil commitment, risk assessments, criminal responsibility (insanity), mitigation, malingering evaluations, sentencing evaluations, and competency to waive Miranda.
In addition to criminal cases, our group specializes in workers’ compensation evaluations, independent medical/psychological evaluations (IME/IPE), medical malpractice, disability evaluations, parental fitness evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, and guardianship evaluations.
We have had the opportunity to serve as expert witnesses in many jurisdictions from probate and state courts to federal district courts in Georgia and other states outside of Georgia. Our team approaches each case ethically and without bias and provides a comprehensive evidence-based assessment that addresses the legal questions raised. Outside of the areas of assessment and expert witness work, our team also provides consultation on particular forensic issues that arise in litigation or at trial.
