Alexandra “Alex” Elliott

Alex is a Graduate Intern who is currently working towards her Masters in Clinical Counseling Psychology at Mercer University. Alex has extensive experience working with young children and parents, employing behavioral modification and cognitive techniques, during her time as a Pre-K and Preschool teacher. She has special interest in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate the world of regulating emotions and managing daily challenges.

Her prior work experience focused on early childhood care and education. She spent time with the Bulloch County Department of Education developing a sex education curriculum as well as creating a more inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ youth in the community.

Alex is interested in normalizing how therapy can be used for anything and anyone by a taking a personal and individualized approach with each of her clients. “Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.” - Tori Amos.

When Alex isn’t assisting clients, she is spending time with her dog, family, and friends…and if there is any chance for her to get to a Braves game, she’s there!
